Terms and Conditions
Please kindly review all terms and conditions before booking.
Confirmation:
A signed "Bridal Hair and Makeup Contract" and payment of $250 non refundable retainer fee is necessary to confirm the stated services from Karlatina B+F.
Non refundable retainer fee:
To secure your date, a $250 non-refundable retainer fee is required at time of booking to hold the wedding date.
Final Balance:
Final payment is required one week prior to event.
Additional Charges:
Prices are subject to change as styling needs change or services are added. Services may be added to this Contract at any time, provided there is reasonable notice depending on the type of service being added and there is sufficient time to complete the service. Once the services have been added to the total, the Balance Due on this Contract will be adjusted accordingly.
Contract and Appointments Changes:
All agreements will be made in writing. Any changes/additions to guests or Event party members requesting additional services after the Hair and Makeup Contract is signed must be submitted in writing (no changes will be made over the telephone). Changes will be accepted up to 30 days prior to the event date. Client signing this contract is the only person permitted to authorize, submit and change any arrangements for the Event party. Contracts and changes made by anyone other than the individual signing or listed on this contract are not allowed and are considered invalid.
Preparation and Special Requirements:
To better help to Client prepare, the Stylist/Artist recommends the following:
a) Client washes the hair the day prior to the Event date or on the day of Event;
b) Client arrives with dry hair, preferably shampooed the day before blow dry hair
NO FLAT IRONS;
c) Client arrives for the hair services on time;
d) Client wears a zipper or button-down shirt;
e) Client brings hair accessories or flowers he/she wishes to use for the styling.
Should a party member forego a prearranged service on the date of the service, 100% of the charge will apply.
f) Client arrives with face completely clean for makeup services.
Important: If any member of the Event party is not doing a trial appointment, the member must submit a photo of themselves via email with their hair down and photo(s) of the desired hair styling 14 days prior to the service. This will help to ensure the style will be achievable on the day of service.
Photo Release:
Client has no problem with the use of any of the professional photo images taken on the Event day for advertising activities of the Stylist/Artist. Photos from the Client’s Event may be posted on the Stylist/Artist’s websites and Stylist/Artist’s social networks pages to promote hairstyling/makeup services.
Substitute Stylist Artist:
If Stylist/Artist suffers from any illness or emergency, sickness/hospitalization, or any other Force Majeure where the Stylist(s)/Artist(s) are unavailable, every effort will be made to secure the services of a new professional Stylist/Artist to cover the event. If a second stylist is already booked for the event, they will become the main stylist and an effort will be made to secure a new second Stylist/Artist. In the event that no Stylist/Artist can be booked, all money paid will be refunded.
Cooperation:
Client and Stylist/Artist agree that it is imperative to engage in open and timely communication with each other about the plans, schedule, and timeline of the Event day events to ensure that expectations are understood and realistic and so Stylist can perform to the best of his/her ability to provide the services as understood by both parties. Client is responsible for providing to Stylist/Artist a photo of themselves and the Event party (if applicable) via email with their hair down and photo(s) of the desired hairstyling/makeup. Client and Stylist/Artist will discuss the hair styling in detail so that both parties understand what is realistic based on the scheduling and timeline of the Event day events. Client is also responsible for providing to Stylist/Artist a schedule and timeline of the Event day events and, together, the Stylist/Artist and Client will finalize the time for the trial appointment and the final hair styling on the day of the Event.
Venue and Location Limitations and Permits
The Client is responsible for acquiring all permits and necessary permission for all locations on which the Stylist will be performing services. The Stylist is limited by the rules and guidelines of the location(s) and site management. If Required to start at one location and move to another location to finish the services the Client is required to pay $100 moving fee.
Travel fees
Local Travel fees is applied based on distance.
Client is responsible for any parking, valet, or toll fees at the Event location.
For all destination location services the client is responsible for all travel fees including accommodation and daily meal per diem allowance for the stylist and his/her assistant(s).
Meal
If the total event day services exceed 5 hours, Client agrees to provide Stylist/Artist and Stylist/Artist’s assistant (if applicable) with a meal allowance for each person. For all destination weddings the client is responsible to pay a daily per diem meal allowance for the stylist and his/her assistant(s).

Safety
The Stylist/Artist reserves the right to terminate coverage and leave the location of the Event(s) if the Stylist/Artist experiences inappropriate, threatening, hostile, or offensive behavior from person(s) at the Event(s); or in the event that the safety of the Stylist/Artist is in question.
Reschedule
If the Client reschedules the Event and the Stylist/Artist has the new date available, all money paid up until that point shall be transferred to the new date and the parties shall revise this Contract accordingly to indicate the new Event Date. If Stylist/Artist is unavailable on the new date, it will be treated as a cancellation, discussed below.
Cancellation
If the Client cancels the Event or Stylist/Artist’s services 30 days up to 90 days before the Event, then the reteainer fee will be forfeited but there will be no additional charges. If the Client cancels the Event or the Stylist’s services 30 days or less prior to the date of the Event, the non refundable fee and the full amount of service booked will be charged. In case of no-show/missed appointments, the non refundable plus the full amount of service will be charged.
Revocation
The Stylist/Artist shall have the right to revoke the contract at any time prior to the Event Date, providing the Client prior written notice of revocation no later than 90 days before the Event Date. In the event that Stylist/Artist revokes the contract prior to the Event for reasons other than non-payment of fees or breach of this Contract by Client, the Stylist shall refund the Client the full amount paid by the Client in connection with this Contract.
Refunds
Due to the custom nature of the services of the Stylist/Artist, all amount paid for the Stylist/Artist’s services is non-refundable. Once the services are completed on the Event day, there are no refunds.
Limitation of Liability
In the unlikely event that Stylist/Artist fails to provide the services hereunder due to reasons other than those listed in Force Majeure Paragraph herein, Client’s recovery and Stylist/Artist’s liability is limited to the total amount paid from Client to Stylist/Artist under this contract and Stylist/Artist will have no further liability to Client, regardless of the total amount of costs or damages claimed by Client.
Assumption of Risk; Release of Stylist/Artist
Client is responsible for and assumes the risk of injury to Client throughout the event coverage.
EXCEPT AS SET FORTH IN THE “LIMITATION OF LIABILITY” PARAGRAPH, CLIENT, THEIR HEIRS, ASSIGNS, AND NEXT OF KIN, AGREE TO FULLY RELEASE STYLIST/artist, AND Stylist/Artist’S ASSISTANT(S) AND INDEPENDENT CONTRACTORS FROM ANY AND ALL LIABILITY, CLAIMS AND/OR LITIGATION OR OTHER ACTIONS THAT CLIENT MAY HAVE FOR INJURIES, DISABILITY, OR DEATH OR OTHER DAMAGES OF ANY KIND, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO, DIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, INDIRECT, PUNITIVE OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, WHETHER ARISING IN TORT, CONTRACT, BREACH OF WARRANTY, EVEN IF CAUSED BY THE NEGLIGENCE OF THE Stylist/Artist, Stylist/Artist’S ASSISTANT(S) OR INDEPENDENT CONTRACTORS.
Force Majeure
Stylist/Artist will not be liable to the Client for any loss resulting from an act of God, natural disaster (including but not limited to fire, earthquake, storm, hurricane, flood, lightning, tornado), an accident of any kind, an act of the public enemy, war, general arrest or restraint of government and people, civil disturbance or similar occurrence, terrorist attack, general disruption of the Internet, or general inability of national carriers to make scheduled deliveries.
Entire Agreement; Amendments
This Contract is the entire agreement between the parties regarding this subject matter and supersedes all prior agreements and understandings related hereto. This Contract can only be amended or modified in a writing signed by both parties, including any rescheduling or cancellations.
Severability
If any party of this Contract shall be held unenforceable for any reason, the remainder of this Contract shall continue in full force and effect. If any provision of this Contract is deemed invalid or unenforceable by any court of competent jurisdiction, and if limiting such provision would make the provision valid, then such provision shall be deemed to be construed as so limited.
Counterparts; Electronic Signatures
This contract may be signed in any number of counterparts, each of which shall be deemed an original, and all signatures together shall constitute one and the same agreement. This Agreement may be signed via email or other electronic means, any of which will be fully binding as an original signature.
Governing Law
This Contract shall be construed in accordance with, and governed in all respects by, the laws of the United States without regard to conflicts of law principles.
Payment method:
Payments can be made via, Cash, Zelle, Apple Pay or other pre-agreed upon method.
Any fees charged by 3th parties are paid by costumer.
By booking with Karlatina B+F, you have read and fully understand all the above terms and conditions and pricing stated in this contract. You agree to the terms and conditions of this contract as well as the cancellation policy. You understand that upon submitting this signed contract, the non-refundable retainer fee is due before appointments can be reserved. The total cost incurred by the Event party is the responsibility of the Client, and you understand that if a member of the Event party fails to pay for a service, You are responsible for the payment and any unpaid balances will be charged to my account..
